9 Inspiring TED Talks for Business Owners

If you haven’t seen a TED talk, let alone heard of them, you are missing out. TED, which stands for technology, entertainment, design, began as a conference with the slogan “Ideas Worth Spreading”. It started in 1984 as a one-off event, and has since become so huge that it’s nearly impossible to get tickets to an event. Official TED talks are highly sought after events, and speakers, who aren’t paid, spend months rehearsing their talk. These speakers range from people like Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and Bill Gates, to tv show host Mike Rowe, professors, and researchers. TEDx are independently held events not officially run by TED.

As the conference grew more popular, the talks started to get posted to the TED website. Altogether there are over 2000 TED Talks posted and they have been viewed over a billion times.
