Although it seems like marketing has all gone digital, there are still many avenues in the physical space that businesses can take advantage of. Southwest Florida’s premier shopping and dining destination, Waterside Shops, did just that!
Waterside leveraged event marketing to show support for the community by creating their Sip & Shop series. This event ran from October 2014 thru April 2015. Sip & Shops Sundays were held every Sunday from noon to 3pm, offering a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar in the center’s main pavilion. The event also featured live entertainment. Guests over 21 enjoyed $5 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas as they shopped at over 60 luxury stores.
The event proceeds accumulated to $5000! They were dispersed to charities including: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Foundation for the Developmentally Disabled, Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, and Dress for Success.
