Summer Slow Down – No Such Thing!

Now that season is officially over, we can all take a quick breath. The best part of being a “year-rounder” in Naples is the calm of summer. The busy social calendar is cleared and we finally have time to focus on ourselves and reconnecting with other friends who have been just as busy during season.

I took that quick breath and then started compiling all our clients upcoming events, only to realize there really is no slow down come summer. Below are some great upcoming events for May, June and July so mark your calendars!

Thursday, May 1 | 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. | The Laser Lounge Spa | Mother’s Day Event

ImageThe Laser Lounge Spa is celebrating Mother’s Day with special giveaways at our NEW Bonita Springs location.

The Laser Lounge Spa will be showcasing products from Thirty-One Gifts, exclusive stylish and functional purses, totes, fashion accessories and more, and Premier Designs Jewelry, a line of more than 500 beautiful and affordable fashion jewelry items

Saturday, May 3 | 8 a.m. | Noodles Italian Café & Sushi Bar | Special Olympics 4th Annual Stand-up Paddle Luau Races at Bayfront Marina

The event is nationally recognized by Special Olympics, and promises to be more successful than ever, with more local businesses contributing via sponsorship packages and silent raffle donations. It’s a fun day for every age, and all proceeds benefit the Special Olympics Collier County.

The luau theme of this year’s Stand-Up Paddling races means a lot of grass skirts, straw hats, leis and Polynesian barbecue, and is a tribute to SUP’s Hawaiian roots. Last year the SUP races attracted more than 100 paddlers and created a family-friendly festival atmosphere while raising more than $30,000 for Special Olympics Collier County.

The event begins at 8 am with a $25 pre-registration fee (which goes directly to the charity) and the ability to register for your race up to one hour prior to the race.

We encourage you to pre-register to paddle in the race, and invite all your work associates and friends to join us as well. Come out to watch and enjoy the fun!

The Silent Auction is a great opportunity for local businesses to expose their business to locals and tourists alike, and to contribute to this very worthy cause.

Tuesday, May 13 | 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. | OSETRA | Caviar for a Cause – Sushi, Wine & Caviar Tasting

Over the summer months, food supplies at St. Matthews House are significantly lower as kids are out of school and require three meals a day at home. Please join us for a fun night out while helping a great cause!
