First of all I would like to say excellent blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Cheers!

      Hi Norberto,

Thanks for stopping by our blog!
Ah, the age old frustration of writer’s block! How we sympathize!
Here are a few ideas that might help:
-Keep a folder in your browser for potential writing topics. When you are online browsing sites or going about your daily work, if you come across an article that you find particularly interesting, inspiring, and ultimately worth sharing with your readers, bookmark it to use the next time you’re writing.
-Come up with a weekly writing schedule. Decide how many posts you want to write per week or per month, and then plot out a strategy for when you are going to sit down to work on those posts. Even if you don’t get much of anything typed out sometimes, the practice of having a specific time to write on a consistent basis will get your mind and body in the mood to turn something out.
-If you absolutely cannot seem to get your thoughts out on paper, check out your favorite blogs and bloggers and see what they’re talking about. Is there a new and exciting product coming out? Has something newsworthy happened in your industry that readers should know about? Or has that person written an article you’d like to share? Bloggers always appreciate publicity from other readers and writers, so maybe you could take an excerpt giving credit to the author, write your own thoughts on it, and direct people back to the author’s page.
-Poll your readers. Ask them what they want to hear about, or ask them what they think about a topic they find interesting. You might get some helpful feedback!

There are a lot of articles out there with other ideas on how how to beat writer’s block, so check those out too. It happens to all of us, and we know you’ll get through it!
