We applaud these gentlemen for breaking the ‘females only’ stereotype surrounding Botox and other skin treatments. Follow the title link to view the article in its original location on winknews.com.

ESTERO, Fla.- A competitive job market has more men trying to turn back the clock.
The Lazer Lounge Medical Day Spa in Estero has seen a spike in its male clientele, keeping up with a growing national trend.
In fact, it even has it’s own nickname: “Bro-tox.”
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, botox among men saw a 258% increase from 2000 to 2010.
“You want to feel young on the inside, and you want to look young on the outside,” botox client Eric Stang said.
Stang co-owns a property management company in Bonita Springs, and didn’t like the stress showing up on his face.
“I just had a frown line right across the bridge of my nose and I didn’t like it. I didn’t feel like I was that old,” Stang said.
The job market, dating scene, and more competitive prices for the procedure are believed to be behind the spike.
“My energy level is great. I go to the gym. I do a lot of things to keep my energy up, because I know that I’m dealing with a younger base that’s coming up that really wants my job,” businessman Jeffrey Searles said.
As with many women, the “liquid face lift,” can be a well-kept secret among men.
“I can guarantee your friends and coworkers will have no idea you did it, but your spouse is going to appreciate it, you’re going to appreciate it, you’re going to feel better about yourself,” physicians assistant and owner of the Lazer Lounge, Jonathan Sigg said.
Botox is a non-surgical medical treatment using needle injections that can take 5-10 years off a persons look in about 5 minutes.
There’s no down-time associated with the treatment and it lasts an average of 4 months.
