The Things We Did in 2010

Hey everyone,
Check out these amazing stats about our global social activity in 2010* and find out a few interesting facts about user demographics along the way. Keep in mind as you read that these numbers are always increasing since the last time they were counted!

Three Things We accomplished Online In 2010 (and how we’re still growing):


1. We Found Connections.

-Half of LinkedIn’s 60 million users are outside of the United States.
-80% of companies looking to hire use LinkedIn as a recruiting tool.
-A new user joins LinkedIn every second.
-All Fortune 500 execs have a LinkedIn account.

2. We Kept Each Other Updated.

-More than 600 million searches occur on Twitter every day.
-80% of the people using Twitter access their account from a mobile device.
-In 2010 there were well over 110 million unique Twitter users.

3. We Were All Talk.

-14% of blogs are corporate accounts.
-More than half of all bloggers have 2 or more blogs.
-2/3 of bloggers are male, and 60% of all bloggers are between the ages of 18 and 44.
-15% of all the bloggers out there spend 10 or more hours blogging every week.
