Adding a LinkedIn Tab to Your Facebook

** REVISION: We have recently learned that Facebook no longer allows a LinkedIn tab to be added to personal profiles. We have edited this post accordingly. Thanks!

Facebook can function both as a social outlet and as a professional networking space. By combining these two areas effectively, you can increase awareness of your company and your role within it. One simple way of accomplishing this is to add a LinkedIn tab to your Facebook business page. The tab will be placed next to your other tabs, such as ‘photos,’ and ‘info,’ directly above the ‘what’s on your mind’ space. When anyone clicks that tab, your public LinkedIn profile will be displayed in the window. Follow the instructions below to add a LinkedIn tab to your   your fan page.
How to Add a LinkedIn Tab Your Facebook Page:
Step 1 – Make sure you have ADMIN privileges for your Facebook page
Step 2 – Go to this URL:
Step 3 – Click ADD TO MY PAGE (top left) and then select the page you want to add it to and click “add to page”
Step 4 – Go to your Facebook page, and click EDIT PAGE (top left)
Step 5 – You should see “My LinkedIn Profile” in the list of applications, click the “application settings” and under “Tab:” click ADD and then OKAY
Step 6 – Back on the edit page, under “My LinkedIn Profile”, click the pencil/edit icon and select EDIT
Step 7 – You are now on the application config for your Facebook profile, enter the appropriate LinkedIn Public Profile Url or Company Profile Url and click SAVE
Step 8 – Go back to your Facebook page and you should either see the tab at the top or click the “>>” tab to move it over.
